When setting up the lead generation process one of the things you are trying to do is automate the process (so you don’t have to do it every time), and also create a series of hoops for the prospect to jump through before they get to you. This will sort out the more motivated sellers from the merely curious.
The easiest way to do this is with a simple voice mailbox. The greeting you put on the voice mailbox serves the purpose of both screening out those prospects you are not interested in, and encouraging those you are interested in to go forward and leave their contact info. You get the info they leave in their message, but most voice mail technology today captures the number they are calling from as well.
Just setting up a voice mail box is pretty simple, but when you look at it’s role in the overall perspective of your lead generation campaign, it’s an important simple step.
